Year 1 School trip to Rye Meads - July
This week in Year 1, we went to Rye Meads to develop our working scientifically skills.
The morning began with pond dipping, where we were asked to identify the invertebrates that lived in the water using a key. In groups, we then presented how our favourite insect moved and the rest of the class had to guess which one we were. After lunch we became plant detectives, where we colour matched wildflowers and identified trees. We finished the day with some leaf rubbings and then returned to school. It was a fantastic day! Thank you to Mrs. Urso, Mrs. Simpson and Ms. Mercurio for supporting us so brilliantly!
