St Augustine's CatholicPrimary School

Introduction

Dear St Augustine’s Community,

Welcome to the Governors area!

St Augustine’s Catholic school is an integral part of the Parish community and we pride ourselves with warmly welcoming pupils, parents, staff and visitors in to our school.

The Board of Governors are an experienced and committed team who are tasked with providing the strategic vision for the improvement and development for the school, whilst keeping the ethos of the Catholic faith very much at the forefront of learning.

Governors work collaboratively with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team to ensure our pupils receive the very best education through the monitoring of their progress against the aims and objectives set by the Board of Governors.

'Governors provide you with highly effective support and challenge; they, too, know the school well and they are passionate about its continued improvement' Ofsted June 2018

Governors are linked to particular areas of interest, this may be a curriculum subject, administration or Finance.  It is the responsibility of the Governor to visit the school and submit a report on their visit.

The Governors are accountable to the school community for the performance of the school.

The Board of Governors’ committee meetings and school policies are available on the school website or on request from the school office.

You can contact the Governors direct by emailing Governors@staugustines.herts.sch.uk

Kind regards,
